Emerald green
Not the boring grey
That I myself have seen

Caribbean sea green
Reminiscence of the girl
I know that I have been

Rose stem green
Only shows when I’m happy
And saved for you only

Teary green
For doubting I love you
But one look into my eyes
Is all it takes for you to see
That I really do

One thing I've learnt in 8 months is that my eyes change colour when I'm happy, and that I don't need to doubt my feelings, because the person who knows me best can see them in my eyes.

Very vivid poem love. Words that can be felt and seen, too. Well done.

Told u a lil' bit about colours today... how they have (somehow) become important and how I can relate... Was on my mind for sure, then was flipping thru a book and stumbled across this classic line (caught my eye):

"Whatever colors you have in your mind
I'll show them to you and youll see them shine."--Dylan

Always loved that. :) Remembered this one a lil' bit ago, too:

"You shine a light into my night that lets me see, how warm the colors of your love will always be."--Dixon :p

Is, in its essence, all about the reflection/absorption/emission of light energy. A cool concept if I ever heard (and saw) one...

And is just a wondeful poem. Thankyou for writing/sharing.
